These tags are laser printed with quotes from Dale Carnegie's best selling book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People." Published in 1936, this book is one of the most widely read in the U.S., and contains a fascinating exploration of the relationship between self and other in an entrepreneurial culture. I placed Carnegie's words in direct dialogue with "The Boy Mechanic Project," a work which explores the (gendered) American ideals of self-reliance and ingenuity.
